Spreading the FIRST mission across Utah and beyond.
The Aliens organized a demonstration booth at the Utah State Fair. Over 10 days, FTC and FRC teams used the demo booth to show off their robots, let kids and adults drive robots, and talk to the public about STEM and FIRST. Here, even princesses enjoy robots as Belle drives the robot with Selene.
FanX, previously Salt Lake Comic Con, is a local favorite event. The Angry Aliens have volunteered at demonstration booths for years through the STEM Action Center and Weber State for robotics — in 2025, those organizations didn't have a booth in KidCon, so the Aliens buckled down and organized one themselves. Inviting all the other teams in Utah to take part, if they could, the Aliens provided the venue, tickets, and a field so Utah FTC could speak to the tens of thousands of fans and make FIRST LOUD.
We chose to demonstrate our robot and team information at the pre-season FRC event known as AMES Games, held at Cottonwood High School (also AMES' campus). Selene drove up and down the halls, let students drive, and she and Eli showed off our portfolio and trophies from Beehive's qualifier.
The Angry Aliens toured the Salt Lake City Amazon warehouse. We saw the enormous numbers of autonomous robots shuttling towers of items for sale back and forth across the floor and met some of the people working hard to get people their purchases.
